HooToo TripMate HT-TM02 is a wireless N router similar to TP-Link TL-WR710N. It is specifically designed with travellers in mind. It is very small, compact and light weight. Unlike TP-Link TL-WR710N, the HooToo TripMate is USB powered so you don't need to worry about different power sockets used in different countries. It is based on wireless N standards and operates on 2.4GHz with speeds of up to 150 Mbps.
HooToo TripMate HT-TM02 is capable of operating in 3 different modes:
AP (Access Point) Mode: Creates a wireless hotspot so that multiple devices can share and connect to the network.
Router Mode: Acts as a standard wireless router connected to a DSL or cable modem.
Bridge Mode: Extends an existing wireless Internet using a different wireless network name (SSID) and password.
The TripMate HT-TM02 is NAS (Network Attached Storage) enabled as well. This acts as a wireless media sharing hub for external USB storage like a thumb drive (up to 4TB). This allows easy file sharing between USB storage and iOS/Android devices.
